Clinical Manifestation
It can present itself without symptoms in 90% to 95 % of the cases. The infected people without symptoms excrete the virus on the feces and they could transmit it. The symptoms that usually present themselves are: fever, muscle weakness, general upset, rigidity of neck, decrease of deep reflects of tendons, vomit, inflammation of the throat, headache, leg pain and even the asymmetric paralysis, it means, paralysis not similar in both sides of the body.
It is recommended that you get the vaccine against this disease in case you are planning to visit any of the following countries:
